Mr. Zhang graduated from Dalian Maritime University with B.Sc. degree in nautical science in 1997 and LL.M. in maritime Law in 2004. He served as a deck officer from 1997 to 2001 and was qualified as a PRC lawyer in 2003. After years of practice as paralegal of a famous law firm (in 2004), attorney of SLOM (from 2005-2006), and attorney of WINTELL Shanghai (from2007-2008), Mr. Zhang is currently a Senior Partner of Goodwell and Doctoral candidate in DMU.

Mr. Zhang specializes in maritime casualties involving collisions, oil pollution, charter party, bills of lading, marine insurance, international trade, finance and investment.
